A 48-year-old woman has denied a serious assault charge laid after an alleged stabbing during a domestic incident in Christchurch a month ago.
The woman, Nicola Ann Winter, denied the charge of wounding a man with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, at an appearance before Judge Alistair Garland in the Christchurch District Court today.
Police alleged the man was stabbed and had to be taken by ambulance to hospital for surgery after the incident at a Hornby address on December 10.
Defence counsel Tony Garrett entered the not guilty plea for Winter and indicated she elected a judge-alone trial.
Judge Garland remanded Winter on bail for a case review hearing on March 7.
