A 16-year-old youth denies a charge of distributing objectionable material from the March 15 Christchurch terror attack and has been remanded in custody for a Youth Court case review.
The teenager denied the charge at a Youth Court appearance today before Judge Stephen O’Driscoll who remanded him in custody of Oranga Tamariki for the review on May 21.
He has automatic name suppression in the youth jurisdiction.
Bail has been refused at an earlier hearing and the decision is being appealed at a hearing in the High Court on Wednesday.
Moana Cole appeared as youth advocate for the teen and Deirdre Elsmore appeared for the Crown.
