Third robbery accused remanded

An 18-year-old jointly charged with two others for armed robberies across Christchurch during March and April, has been remanded in custody to Friday.

Lucas Lynch, who has no address according to the court charging documents, was arrested with Crete Campaign Wikotu, 38, and Houlyo Steven Regan, 35, and all three were charged with the armed robberies of Christchurch businesses.

Wikotu was also charged with the burglary of two properties in Ranfurly Street, St Albans.

Lynch was charged with three of the six robberies, where a hammer, wire cutters and a knife, and a crowbar were used. He allegedly took over $5000 from the businesses.

He also faces charges of burglary, dishonestly using a credit card, and failing to comply with District Court bail.

Christchurch District Court Judge Stephen O’Driscoll remanded Lynch in custody to April 12.

Regan and Wikotu are also remanded in custody. Regan’s next appearance will be on April 24, and Wikotu’s on April 29.
