Police car-Sept2013-02Three people have been charged with conspiring to rob “an unknown person” of $12,000, a crime apparently foiled by the police in Christchurch on Thursday.

Two of the three were stopped by police in a car before the robbery was due to take place, and were brought before Judge Jane Farish in the Christchurch District Court today.

All three made application for bail but it was refused for two of them and they were remanded in custody.

They have entered no pleas to joint charges of conspiring with each other to rob the unknown person of $12,000 cash.

Russell Stafford Ricardo Harris, 38, of Hornby, applied for bail but it was refused and he was remanded in custody for an appearance by video-link from the prison on April 28.

Paula Hardaker, 21, of Mairehau, was refused bail and also remanded in custody for a video-link appearance on April 28.

Grant Campbell Flood, aged 30, a drainlayer who runs his own company, was granted bail and remanded to appear on April 29.
